"National Intellectual Property Day 2009"

Malaysia celebrated its National Intellectual Property Day 2009 on the 26th of April. It was a great experience for me to participate in the IP day. Well this year IP day was held at Kuala Lumpur Conventional Center , and the topic that was discuss at the seminar which i had attended was on traditional knowledge, a branch of IP which is less-known but just as important as traditional IP elements.

The official ceremony of the IP day was launched by the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs and the event was organized by Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO)and the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (MDTCA).

There are many participation from the government agencies and private sectors on setting up booth of exhibitons.

Khandallah School , Wellington NZ

Well , visiting Khandallah School brings a lot of sweet memories during my childhood years.I have studied in Khandallah School from 1985 untill 1987 , from year 3 to year 5. At that time after completing year 5 at Khandallah School we will go straight to Form 1 at Raroa Intermediate School.. before going to College. The teachers in Khandaallah School were very nice... act professionally with their students. I still remember Mr Angus... my standard 5 teacher. My friends.. Nelson , Silas , Tim , Stephen...where ever you are.. all of them are my best friends. After school we usually go to the Parks.. play hide and seek.. over the weekends we usually hang around at Mc Donalds at Johnsonville Mall.. or go to the city centre by train...gosh! it was really great.

Well , let me tell you a little bit about the history of Khandallah School. Khandallah means 'camp', or 'resting place of God'.The school was opened in 1893 in a small public hall at the bottom of what is now Simla Crescent. The present site was first occupied in April 1894 when 40 children attended. There was one large room divided by a folding partition to separate the Junior School from the Senior School.

My Social Visit to Western Australia

It was a wonderful journey to Western Australia. The city of Perth is really great... i must say it is clean... We went through our Evening Tour which begins with a Ferry Ride across the Swan River to view the early evening reflections of the City and South Perth on the Swan River. It’s then off to the Port City of Fremantle via the ritzy river suburbs taking in spectacular cliff views and many beautiful river front homes (the most expensive real estate in Australia) as the Swan River winds its way out into the Indian Ocean at Fremantle. We drive though “Old Freo Town” the French Quarter New Orleans of Australia with its cappuccino strip, night club bars, restaurants and markets set in an 1800’s atmosphere beside waterways and harbour (Tour includes Fremantle Markets on Friday nights). At Fishing Boat Harbour we stop to enjoy that famous Australian tradition of Fish and Chips at Ciccerello’s, WA’s NUMBER ONE in Fish and Chips having served here for over 100 years. At Cicerello’s we also see the surf ski that was attacked by a massive 5.6 meter White Pointer Shark on Cottesloe Beach. After dinner we drive along Cottesloe Beach (Heath Ledger’s Beach) and see where this and another fatal shark attack happened in recent times. Making our way back to Kings Park we stop at the Roe Lookout to admire the “City of Lights” view. Continuing though Kings Park we further enjoy the magnificent views of Perth by night. We make our way down into the city and over to the hustle, bustle and lights of China Town in Northbridge, Perth’s restaurant and nightlife entertainment centre before returning to your hotel to end a delightfully fun filled evening. Ending around 10:00pm

Victory For Y.B Datuk Seri Anwar Bin Ibrahim

I would like to congratulate Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim MP for Permatang Pauh.... gaining a higher majority for the by election.. this shows that people giving their support to DSAI and the society wanted a change or reforms.

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim won the Permatang Pauh by-election Tuesday with a 15,671-vote majority, garnering 31,195 votes against the BN's Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah, 51, who obtained 15,524 votes. The other candidate, Hanafi Mamat, 61, of Angkatan Keadilan Insan Malaysia (Akim) lost his deposit as he only received 92 votes.

It seems that the voters' decision to give victory to the opposition would become a trend. Due to the fact that many younger generation believe that DSAI can lead the nation.
